Endodontics Stafford, VA

There are seven dental specialties beyond general dentistry, including endodontics. An endodontist specializes in treating the inner portion of the tooth, including the nerves and pulp inside the tooth root canals. At Stafford Oral Surgery, we offer endodontic treatments for oral maladies that impact the living tissue and roots inside teeth, helping prevent tooth loss and other oral problems.

When Should You See an Endodontist?

While a general dentist can perform repairs on the outer portion of the tooth or remove surface decay, problems inside the tooth require the expertise of an endodontist. If decay or infection reaches the inner pulp or canals of the tooth, or the tooth is severely damaged, oral surgery on the tooth may be required by an endodontist. Interior damage to the tooth can jeopardize the health of the tooth and without treatment, the tooth can be lost. Our experienced dental team at Stafford Oral Surgery can perform endodontic treatments to prevent tooth loss and protect your oral and overall health. Our endodontic services include:

Apicoectomy

Root Canals

Sedation Dentistry
