First Visit
Your first visit as a new patient to Stafford Oral Surgery & Specialists should not be stressful or filled with anxiety. Although preparing for oral surgery may seem scary for some, our team is caring and friendly to help make you feel at ease. We will walk you through every step of the process. This is from scheduling your appointments and financial concerns to planning for your surgery and recovery. You are in good hands with an experienced surgical team to help improve your oral health and appearance.
Before your first visit, take the time to fill out the new patient forms online. This will gather information we need for your patient file and save time when you come in for your first appointment. If you are being referred by your dentist, orthodontist or doctor, they may have x-rays or images that we will need for your diagnosis/oral surgery preparation. In most cases, they can send them to us digitally. If not, you may need to bring them with you on your first visit.
During Your Appointment
Since we offer many different oral surgery services, your first visit experience will depend on why you need an oral surgeon. In most cases, one of our oral surgeons will meet with you to discuss your condition. Often, we will need to take x-rays or a 3D CT scan to begin your diagnosis or surgical preparation. During your initial consultation, your surgeon will discuss the available options for your treatment, including sedation and anesthesia for your procedure. This is a good time to ask questions and discuss concerns you may have. Our oral surgical team will take the time to answer your questions to ensure you feel comfortable.
